It's Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum

I've been using this serum since January and it's almost empty so I figured it was about time to share my thoughts about it.

Claims
"This serum delivers major moisture to your skin with its star ingredient, Hyaluronic Acid. It locks in moisture, keeping your skin hydrated, soft, and dewy all day."

Noticeable ingredients
Hyaluronic Acid: This has an amazing moisture-binding ability.
Acerola Fruit Extract: This contains Vitamin C to make your skin bright and healthy.
Blueberry Fruit Extract: This has anti-inflammatory and soothing abilities.

Full ingredients list
Water, Cyclomethicone, Hyaluronic Acid, Isohexadecane, Butylene Glycol, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract, PEG-11 Methyl Ether Dimethicone, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Triethanolamine, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance, Carbomer, Laureth-8, Disodium EDTA, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract.

As you can see, it doesn't contain alcohol or parabens.

The packaging
This serum comes in a glass bottle which is kind of impractical if you're clumsy like me - luckily I haven't dropped it. The bottle contains 40 ml. of product. It comes with a pump dispenser with makes it easy to control the amount of product that comes out.
On the front of the bottle there's claims. On the back of the bottle, almost everything is written in Korean.

Texture and color
The serum is white. The texture of this is like a classic serum texture - thicker than essence and thinner than emulsion. It spreads out easily on the skin.

Smell
This serum has a rather strong, perfumed smell. It's not unpleasant at all but some might find it overwhelming.

How to use
"Apply an adequate amount of product in the hand and gently massage over your face and neck with light circular motions."

How I use it
Whenever I want to add some extra moisture to my skincare routine, I use this serum. During the winter, I like to use it in my AM skincare routine to help my skin stay moist all day. During the summer, I use it a few times a week in my PM skincare routine  - usually when I don't have time to use a sheet mask - to add some moisture.

Effects
Once applied, the serum absorbs within a few minutes without leaving any sticky residue. It doesn't make my skin look oily - instead it leaves my skin with a nice glow.
My dry skin really loves this serum. It's so moisturizing and hydrating. It always leaves my skin soft and not irritated at all.

Price
This retails at $13.45 which makes it $3.3625 for 10 ml. so it's a budget friendly product.

Pros
- It doesn't contain alcohol or parabens.
- Hygeinic packaging.
- Absorbs quickly without any sticky residue.
- So moisturizing and hydrating.
- Budget friendly.

Cons
- Glass bottle.
- Strong perfumed smell.

Repurchase?
I don't know if I will repurchase this in the future because there are so many serums I want to try but I will purchase some of the other products from this range.

Tonymoly I'm Real Mask Sheet Tomato

Last night, I tried this mask for the first time. This mask is from the budget friendly sheet mask range 'I'm real' from Tonymoly. So far, my overall experience with this range has been okay. The masks are pretty average and good if you look at the price.

Claims
"Tomato mask makes rough skin look smooth and radiant."

The packaging
The packaging is standard 'I'm Real' packaging - with a graffic drawing of the main ingredient on the front side of the pouch. On the back side of the pouch there are claims, directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.

Noticeable ingredients
Allantoin (soothing, anti-inflammatory), Tomato Fruit Extract (antioxidant), Honey Extract (moisturizing, anti-bacterial) and Peach Fruit Extract (moisturizing, plant extract).

Full ingredients list and directions:

The mask

When I opened the pouch and took out the sheet, it was easy to unfold.

The sheet material was stiff and a little thicker than average sheet material.

Essence
The essence was clear and watery. The essence didn't drip while I unfolded the sheet but the essence did run down my neck the first few minutes I was wearing the mask.
There was about a table spoon essence left in the pouch.

Smell
The essence did not smell like tomatoes - at least not fresh tomatoes. Perhaps a bit like sundried tomatoes? I don't know. The smell wasn't overwhelming but it was a little noticeable while the mask was on.

Fit
The fit was okay. There were plenty of slits to adjust the mask for a better fit. Both the holes for the eyes and the hole for the mouth were big enough for my face. Due to the stiff material, the mask did not adhere well to my skin.

Time
According to the back of the pouch, you should leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes. I left it on for about half an hour before it started to dry around the nose and let go at the edges.

While wearing the mask it didn't irritate my skin or feel uncomfortable at all.

Results
When I took off the sheet, the remaining essence on my skin absorbed within 10 minutes. It left my skin non-sticky and non-shiny. My skin had a beautiful glow but there was no brightening effect at all. My skin felt smooth and hydrated.
The results didn't last until the next day.

Price
This costs somewhere between $1 and $2 depending on where you buy it so it's a budget friendly mask.

Would I recommend?
It's a pretty average mask and you can find better masks at the same price.

Pros
- Didn't irritate my skin.
- Does as it claims to do.
- Affordable.

Cons
- Weird smell.
- Stiff material.
- The results didn't last until the next day.

Repurchase?
I have two of these left and once I've used those, I will not repurchase.

Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Manuka Honey

The other night I tried this for the first time. This is one of my favorite sheet masks ranges because the masks keep surprising me with how good they are - and this was no difference. It's one of the best nourishing and moisturizing masks that I've ever tried.

More about this sheet mask range (from Etudehouse.com):

If you look at the above, it's obvious why I love this sheet mask range. They've passed the sensitive panel test, they only contain low-irritant ingredients, the sheet material is super thin and comfortable and they don't contain fragrance.

Claims
"The mask containing Manuka honey rich in moisture and nourishment and Adenosine with wrinkle improvement function makes skin elastic by providing moisture and elasticity to dry, flaky skin.

The packaging
The packaging is classic 'Therapy Air Mask' with pictures of the main ingredient on the front side. On the back side, there are claims, directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.
There are slits about 1-2 centimeters from the top of the packaging to make it easier to open.

Noticeable ingredients
Honey Extract (moisturizing, anti-bacterial), Licorice Root Extract (smoothing, soothing, anti-inflammatory), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea Leaf Extract: Moisturizing, antioxidant), Ginger Root Extract (plant extract, skin conditioning) and Sodium Hyaluronate (hydrating).

Full ingredients list and directions:

The mask

When I opened the pouch and took out the mask, it was difficult to unfold.

The sheet material was super thin (0.2 mm) but it didn't break easily.

Essence
The essence was white and lotion-y. It was quite thick which is probably why the sheet didn't drip while I was unfolding it even though it was soaked in essence. The essence ran a little down my neck the first few minutes I was wearing the mask.
There was some essence left in the pouch.

Smell
The essence had a fresh citrus smell. I couldn't detect any honey smell in it which I found surprising. The smell wasn't overwhelming and it was barely noticeable while the mask was on.

Fit
Just like with all the other masks from this sheet mask range, the fit was great even though there was no slits to improve it. Both the holes for the eyes and the hole for the mouth were big enough for my face. The thin material adhered well to my skin and stayed in its place the hole time I was wearing it.

Time
According to the back of the pouch, you should leave the mask on for 10-20 minutes. I left it on for half an hour before it started to dry around my nose.

While wearing the mask it didn't irritate my skin or feel uncomfortable at all.

Results
When I took the sheet off, the remaining essence absorbed within a few minutes. It left my skin non-sticky and it didn't make my t-zone look oily like a lot of nourishing masks tend to do.
My skin felt so nourished and moisturized. It evened out my skintone nicely and it just made my skin look healthy. The next morning my skin still felt moisturized and the few fine lines I have on my forehead appeared less visible.

Price
This retails at $1.30 (USD) on Etudehouse.com so it's a budget friendly mask.

Would I recommend?
Sure, it's a great budget friendly mask.

Pros:
- Nice ingredients list.
- No artificial smell.
- Fit and adherence was great.
- Does as it claims to do.
- Budget friendly.

Cons:
I can't think of any cons. This is one of the best nourishing masks that I've ever tried.

Repurchase?
Of course.

Nature Republic Real Nature Royal Jelly

The other night, I tried this mask for the first time. This mask is from the budget friendly sheet mask range 'Real Nature' from Nature Republic.

Claims
"Royal Jelly extracts provide nourishment and reduce wrinkles."

The packaging
The packaging is just like the other masks from this sheet mask range - with a picture of the main ingredient on the front side. On the back side, there are claims, directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.

Noticeable ingredients
Royal Jelly Extract (nourishing, skin conditioning), Sodium Hyaluronate (hydrating) and Orange Fruit Extract (plant extract).

Full ingredients list and 'How to use':

The mask

When I opened the pouch and took out the sheet, it was easy to unfold.

The sheet material was thicker than average sheet material and it was a little stiff.

Essence
The essence was clear and thin. The sheet didn't drip while I was unfolding it and the essence didn't run down my neck while I was wearing the mask.
There was some essence left in the pouch.

Smell
The essence had a strong smell of alcohol. It was strong and honestly overwhelming since it was noticeable the whole time I was wearing the mask.

Fit
The fit was ridiculously large. There were slits to improve the fit but since the material was a little stiff, it didn't adhere well to my skin.

Time
According to the back of the pouch, you should leave the mask on for 10-20 minutes. I left it on for 20 minutes before I took it off. It hadn't started to dry yet but I just couldn't stand the alcohol smell anymore.

Results
When I took off the sheet, the remaining essence absorbed after about half an hour. Well, it never really absorbed. The residue it left was so sticky and it didn't go away even when I continued my skincare routine.
My skin felt nourished.

Price
This is often on sale for $1 (USD) so it's a budget friendly mask.

Would I recommend?
No.

Pros:
- My skin felt nourished.
- Budget friendly.

Cons:
- Bad fit.
- Stiff material.
- Strong alcohol smell.
- Very sticky residue.

Would I repurchase?
No.

Cosrx Holy Moly Snail Mask

If you're into Asian skincare, you've probably heard of this sheet mask. It's the only sheet mask from the beloved brand Cosrx and I guess that's why it's so well-known. Last night, I finally tried it - about time, right?
I've read many mixed reviews about it and I want to contribute with my own review.

Claims
"Your mood depends on how great your skin looks! Starting tonight, refresh the look of your skin with the Holy Moly Snail Mask by locking in the moisture with a layer of the nourishing formula featuring snail mucin and ginseng water."

The packaging
According to my husband, the front side of the packaging looks a bit like a kid has been playing in Paint but it's cute. On the front side, the claims are written in English. On the back side, there are directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.

Noticeable ingredients
Red Ginseng Water: I really like that they've decided to use Red Ginseng Water instead of just regular water so that you can get some of the many benefits from Red Ginseng - like anti-aging.
Snail Secretion Filtrate: This has a healing effect to damaged skin, it's moisturizing and anti-aging.
Allantoin: This is anti-inflammatory and soothing.
Sodium Hyaluronate: This has great moisture-binding abilities.

Full ingredients list and How to use:

The mask

When I opened the pouch and took out the sheet, it was easy to unfold.

It's not the light - the sheet actually has a peach-y color instead of the regular white sheet.
It was thicker than average sheet material but still very soft.

Essence
If you look at the texture of the essence, you can see that snail secretion filtrate is one of the top ingredients - it's slimy and clear. It's thicker than water but still thin. It reminded me of the texture of the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence.
The sheet was dripping while I unfolded it and the essence ran down my neck while I was wearing the mask.
There was some essence left in the pouch.

Smell
I didn't really detect any smell. As you may have noticed on the ingredients list, this mask is fragrance free - something I really appreciate.

Fit
The fit was nice. Both the holes for the eyes and the hole for the mouth were big enough. The sheet didn't cover the last centimeter of my cheeks so I do not recommend this if you have a large head.
There were slits to improve the fit at the eyes and at the cheeks.

Time
According to the back of the pouch, you should leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. I left it on for 25 minutes before it started to dry.

While wearing the mask it didn't irritate my skin or feel uncomfortable at all.

Results
When I took of the sheet, the remaining essence on my skin absorbed after about five minutes. It didn't leave any sticky residue. However, it did make my skin look oily as a lot of moisturizing masks tend to do.
My skin felt so moisturized and hydrated. I didn't really feel like I needed to use a lot of other products after this so I just used a light sleeping pack (Laneige Water Sleeping Pack).
It didn't even out my skintone and it didn't cause any breakouts but it didn't calm down the pimples that I currently have either.

Price
This costs $3 and you can find it at most Asian skincare online stores.

Would I recommend?
If you're looking for a moisturizing mask with a short ingredients list, I recommend this.

Pros
- Short ingredients list.
- No noticeable smell.
- Very moisturizing and hydrating.

Cons
- The fit was too small at my cheeks.
- Didn't calm down my current pimples.

Repurchase?
I have two more of these left but once I've used them, I will not repurchase. There are better sheet masks out there at the same pricerange.

Sheet Mask Empties August 2017

I know I'm late with the sheet mask empties once again but here they are! My sheet mask empties from August. I emptied 26 sheet masks which is good.

If you're wondering why I write that I will not repurchase some masks that I've used more than one of, it's because I buy most of my masks in packets with 3, 5 or 7.

The masks I've emptied

Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Green Tea
This mask made my skin feel refreshed and hydrated. It evened out my skintone and my skin looked less dull. I will repurchase this!

Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Lotus
This had a pleasant cooling effect while on. It was so soothing and hydrating. It made my pimples look smaller and it evened out my skintone. I will repurchase this.

Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Hyaluronic Acid

This is one of my favorite masks when it comes to hydrating. It always leaves my skin hydrated, soft and non-sticky. I've repurchased this more times than I can count and I will keep repurchasing it.

Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Strawberry
This mask evened out my skintone and made my skin look less dull. It took a long time to absorb and it left a sticky residue but that disappeared when I continued my skincare routine. I might repurchase this.

RiRe Real Nature Mask Pack Pearl
This mask evened out my skintone but after a few hours my red cheeks returned. It gave my skin a nice glow that lasted all day and it moisturized my skin well. The sheet material didn't adhere well to my skin and took a long time to absorb. I will not repurchase this.

Mizon Joyful Time Essence Mask Hyaluronic Acid
This mask was hydrating and made my skin soft but it had a strong smell of alcohol. I will not repurchase this.
I love using this mask after exfoliating my skin because it leaves my skin feeling so moisturized after using it. I've repurchased this a bunch of times and I will keep repurchasing it until I find a mask with similar results and a better fit.

This evened out my skintone nicely and gave my skin a beautiful glow. However, the sheet material was stiff and the fit was not good so I will not repurchase this mask.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Sheet Shea Butter
This mask was so moisturizing - perfect for my dry skin. Unfortunately, it left a sticky residue that didn't go away. I might repurchase this.

Welcos Juju Natural Mask Canola Honey
This mask left my skin feeling so nourished without leaving any sticky residue. The sheet material was fragile and the fit was awful so I will not repurchase it.

Missha Pure Source Cell Mask Sheet Aloe
This mask left my skin hydrated and calm. Even though I have nothing bad to say about it, I will not repurchase it because I've tried better aloe masks.

Missha Pure Source Cell Mask Sheet Honey
This mask was a bit moisturizing but not enough for my dry skin. I will not repurchase this.

Missha Pure Source Cell Mask Sheet Bamboo
This mask was hydrating but it left a sticky residue and had a strong perfumed smell that I found overwhelming. I will not repurchase this.

This mask was so soothing and hydrating. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it took a long time to absorb. I will repurchase this.

This mask had a little cooling effect while on and it was soothing. However, it didn't adhere well to my skin and the results were minimal. I will not repurchase this.

Holika Holika Pure Essence Mask Sheet Strawberry

I used this mask for the first time the other night. I didn't really have any expectations to this since I only bought it because of the cute packaging and because it was cheap so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually liked it.

Claims
"A brightening sheet makes skin lustrous and provides moisture to the skin with strawberry extract".

The packaging
Obviously I find the packaging appealing since it's one of the reasons that I bought the mask. On the front side there are strawberries and on the back side, there are claims, directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.
This sheet mask line comes with an "easy open" function which makes it easy to open without risking ruining the mask inside and you don't get annoyed by slips.

Noticeable ingredients
Centella Asiatica Extract (anti-inflammatory, smoothing, soothing), Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract (skin protecting) and Strawberry Fruit Extract (brightening, rich in vitamins).

Full ingredients list:

The mask

When I opened the pouch and took out the sheet, it was difficult to unfold.

The sheet material was very thin - almost (if not as thin) as the sheet material from 'Etude House 0.2 Air Therapy' masks. The sheet material was a little fragile so I had to be careful while I unfolded it.

Essence
The essence was clear and watery. The sheet was dripping a bit while I unfolded it but the essence didn't run down my neck while I was wearing the mask.
There was about a table spoon amount of essence left in the pouch.

Smell
The essence had a very vague smell. It was a little herbal-y - nothing like strawberry. The smell wasn't even noticeable when the mask was on.

Fit
The fit was great. There were one slit on each side of the cheeks and slits at the eyes making it possible to adjust the mask for a better fit. Both the hole for the mouth and the holes for the eyes were big enough.
Once the mask was on, the thin material adhered so well to my skin. The mask stayed in its place the whole time I was wearing it.

Time
According to the back of the pouch you should leave the mask on for 10-20 minutes. I left it on for about half an hour before it started to dry.

While wearing the mask, it didn't irritate my skin or feel uncomfortable at all.

Results
When I took off the sheet, the remaining essence absorbed after a few minutes. It left my skin non-sticky and my t-zone didn't look oily.
My skintone was evened out nicely and my skin felt hydrated.

I used this mask in my PM skincare routine and the results didn't last until the next day. However, I think it would be a perfect mask to use in the morning routine due to how quickly the essence absorbed and the nice results.

Price
This costs $2 (USD) but you can probably find it cheaper online.

Would I recommend?
Yes. This is a nice budget friendly mask.

Pros
- Comfortable material.
- No noticeable smell.
- Skintone evened out nicely.
- Hydrating.
- Budget friendly.

Cons
The results didn't last until the next day.

Would I repurchase?
Sure.

Tonymoly I'm Real Mask Sheet Lemon

This morning, I had plenty of time so I decided to sheet mask. I went for this mask from the budget friendly sheet mask range 'I'm Real' from Tonymoly. It was the third time I used it so I figured it was about time I made a review of it.

Claims
"Lemon mask makes dull and dark skin look radiant".

The packaging
I love the packaging from the 'I'm Real' masks - so cute and still simple. On the back side you can find claims, directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.

Noticeable ingredients
Allantoin (anti-inflammatory, soothing), Lemon Fruit Extract (brightening) and Licorice Fruit Extract (smoothing, soothing, anti-inflammatory).

Full ingredients list and directions:

The mask

When I opened the pouch and took out the mask, it was easy to unfold.

The sheet material was stiff and thicker than average sheet material.

Essence
The essence was clear and thin. The sheet didn't drip while I unfolded it and the essence didn't run down my neck while I was wearing the mask.
There was some essence left in the pouch.

Smell
The essence had a nice smell - like lemon candy. Some might find the smell artificial but I liked it. I didn't find it too strong or overwhelming even though it was noticeable while the mask was on.

Fit
The fit was not good. Due to the stiff sheet material, the mask didn't adhere well to my skin so even though there were plenty of slits to adjust the fit, it was difficult to do so, Both the holes for the eyes and the mouth were big enough.

Time
According to the back of the pouch, you should leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes. I left the mask on for 25 minutes before it started to dry and let go at the edges.

While wearing the mask, it had a pleasant cooling effect.

Results
When I took the sheet off, the remaining essence absorbed after about 10 minutes. It left my skin a little sticky but that went away when I continued my skincare routine.
My skintone was evened out nicely and my skin no longer looked dull. Instead, it had a beautiful glow.

Price
This costs somewhere between $1 and $2 (USD) depending on where you buy it so it's a budget friendly mask.

Would I recommend?
Sure. This is a nice budget friendly mask if you don't mind the stiff material.

Pros:
- Lovely smell.
- Does as it claims to do.
- Budget friendly.

Cons:
- Stiff material.
- The fit was not good.

Would I repurchase?
I probably won't repurchase this because of the stiff material and bad fit. Instead, I will try to find a mask with similar results and a better fit.
