Cosrx One Step Moisture Up Pad

For the past 10 days, I've been using these moisture pads in my AM skincare routine and I wanted to share my thoughts about them.
The pads are manufactured by Cosrx - a brand that focuses on using minimal ingredients for maximum function.

Claims
"A daily pad that contains hyaluronic acid to replenish moisture for all day hydration. Regular use of pads will smooth the skin's texture, providing a perfect canvas for flawless makeup."

Ingredients
Propolis Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine Salicylate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate, Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil.

As you can see, the ingredients list is free of alcohol and fragrance.

Principal ingredients
Propolis Extract (70%): This is nourishing and anti-inflammatory and rich in antioxidants.
Betaine Salicylate (0.5%): This is exfoliating.

Other noticeable ingredients
Allantoin: This is soothing and anti-inflammatory.
Sodium Hyaluronate: Sodium Hyaluronate can hold 1.000 times its own weight in water which is why it has amazing moisture-binding abilities.

The packaging
The pads come in a round, hard plastic jar with a screw-on lit. When you remove the lit, the jar is sealed. The jar contains 70 pads. On the side, there are claims in English. The jar comes in a box with claims, directions and ingredients list in both Korean and English.
On the lit, Mr. RX is sitting, using the pads.

The pads

On the left picture you can see the embrossing side and on the right picture you can see the softer side.
According to Cosrx' instructions, you should use the embrossing side first and the softer side second.

Smell
The pads smell like citrus. Nothing strong or overwhelming but the smell is noticeable.

Directions
1. Swipe the embossing side across the face avoiding eye area after cleansing.
2. Swipe the softer side across the face to pick up the remaining debris.
3. Replace the lid tightly to make sure the pads stay wet and clean.

How I use it
I use these pads as the first step in my AM skincare routine after cleansing my face. After that, I use toner, cream, eye cream and sunscreen which is far less products than I usually use during these cold months.

Effects
I use both sides of these pads almost every day. On the days where I exfoliate my skin with a washoff mask, I only use the softer side. Other than that, I can use both sides every day. The embrossing side is not to rough for my dry and slightly sensitive skin.
The product takes a while to absorb. After absorbed, I apply toner. I know that some people use these pads and skip the toner but I like adding that extra hydration. Usually, I would apply essence but my skin simply doesn't need that with these pads because they're so moisturizing. With these pads, I can use my light summertime daycream instead of my heavier wintertime daycream even though it's almost November and there's cold outside.
For people with oily skin, these pads might be moisturizing enough to skip the rest of the routine and just apply eye cream and sunscreen.

These pads leave my skin glowing, hydrated and moisturized.
They're the perfect choice for the lazy days. The few times that I've used these in my PM skincare routine, I've just used a sleeping pack and an eye cream afterwards. I didn't need anymore products.

I haven't used them enough to see any long term results.

Pros
- Doesn't contain alcohol or fragrance.
- Does as it claims to do.

Cons
The only con is the packaging. I wish it came with a tweezer or something like that to make it more hygeinic so your fingers don't touch the other pads when you take out one. Also, the PAO is 12 months but I honestly doubt that they will keep moist for 12 months. It's not a big problem for me because I really like using them so they won't last 12 months but you have to keep in mind that you should use them within a reasonable amount of time.

Would I recommend?
Yes. It's a nice product that does as it claims to do.

Repurchase?
I haven't used them enough to decide whether I want to repurchase.
